CHENNAI: The political climate in Tamil Nadu has intensified as the opposition DMK launched a scathing attack on the newly formed Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government led by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. Escalating the ongoing turf war, senior DMK leader Anita Radhakrishnan has controversially declared that the TVK administration will collapse within the next six months.
Speaking at a recent public gathering, Radhakrishnan asserted that M.K. Stalin will soon make a triumphant return as the state's Chief Minister. Taking direct aim at the ruling administration, the DMK veteran challenged TVK Minister Aadav Arjuna to resign from his MLA post and face a re-election if he possessed the courage to prove his popularity.
This open defiance highlights the aggressive stance the DMK is adopting following the recent electoral shift that disrupted their Dravidian stronghold. Political analysts suggest that the DMK's strategy involves maintaining relentless pressure on the nascent TVK government, anticipating that inexperience or potential internal friction could trigger a legislative crisis.
While the ruling TVK party has yet to issue an official rebuttal to Radhakrishnan's remarks, the state is bracing for a prolonged period of intense political maneuvering and fierce verbal duals between the two camps.
