
Mumbai: Actor Parvathy Thiruvothu has described this year’s Vishu as a “new beginning” in her life, as she celebrated the festival for the first time at her new home in Mumbai.
The actor, who recently completed nearly two decades in the film industry, moved to Mumbai in December last year. She marked Vishu at her Bandra residence with a traditional Kerala-style celebration, including a festive sadya, reflecting her strong cultural roots despite relocating to a new city.
In an interview, Parvathy spoke about entering a new phase in life, emphasizing personal growth and independence. She noted that she prefers to move forward at her own pace rather than following conventional expectations.
Having started her acting journey at the age of 17, the actor said she still considers herself a learner, even after 20 years in cinema. She also hinted at plans to become more active in Hindi films as she adapts to life in Mumbai.
