Pandikot Pallam set to be declared local biodiversity heritage site

Pandikot Pallam, a biodiversity-rich wetland in Nileshwaram municipality, is home to Krishnakesara bispinosa, an extremely rare plant believed to have been recorded nowhere else in the world. Two other rare species, Rotala tulunadensis and Blyxa kasargodensis, have also been documented at the site.
